You know what sucks? Being without electricity for going on 48 hours now. The ice storm that hit us Saturday did a number on the region. I've seen 3 power line poles still snapped in half as of today. I know the electric company is doing there best. Burlington and most of the surrounding towns all have power. I suppose that's what I get for living out in the boondocks ey? Fortunantly we have running hot water, a fire place, and a small generator. I'm starting to get accustomed to not turning on the lights when I go into a room. My dad hooked up the generator yesterday so we were able to watch TV, run the furnace, and plug in the refrigerator. I've heard rumors that the earliest we will get power back is tomorrow (Tuesday) and the latest Thursday.
In other news, good news, Jason McCartney rapped up 3rd overall. That's pretty sweet. I was able to watch some of the last stage lastnight. It was pretty uneventful. A break-away stayed off for most of the race and got caught at the end.
Froze Toes was rescheduled for this coming weekend (March 4th). Hopefully the weather cooperates. There's supposed to be another storm moving later on this week so cross your fingers that it's gone before Sunday. That's all, time to go back to class. Have a good day!
