Mixed Feelings

Tomorrow starts one of the biggest weekends of racing for me. It's the Wapello to Burlington road race. I have no expectations for this race whatsoever other than keeping the rubber side down and warming up the legs. Then is Snake Alley, Melon City, and Quad Cities. This week has been a pretty bad week for me. Bronchitis has kicked my butt. I won't even admit to how many times/miles I've ridden this week. Not that it matters much anyway. All I can do as of now is hope my lungs are in working order tomorrow when the race starts. I'm still hacking up my lungs, and I'm sure I will the rest of the weekend. It's just a matter of how much I can handle it. I'm hoping to finish each race, but that's about as far as my goals go. I had higher intentions earlier on. But I don't feel up to it this weekend. Plus, the weather forecast doesn't sound good. I can't imagine racing the three crits in the rain. It will be pretty difficult, especially Snake Alley. Anyway, I'll try to post updates every night after the race. Hope to see everything there! Good luck!
